Modern automation system “smart home” helps not only to control home appliances, but also takes care of your health. It makes our life much more comfortable and safe.

Climate control system allows you to create a favorable climate for health. It allows you to maintain a comfortable temperature and humidity level in the room. For example, for a child with a cold, you can easily make the air more humid and warm.

“Smart home” becomes a helper for sick homeowners when they are alone at home. The system will allow him to control household appliances without getting out of bed, as well as give the opportunity to call an ambulance or notify relatives in case of deteriorating health. You will also be able to set reminders to take medications.

Smart Home – Health Care in a New Age

On 12/17/2020 by John Kiehn

In today’s world, human health is affected by many factors. Some of them we do not even think about. Nevertheless, health care is important for many people, especially for athletes. Sometimes we can’t keep a good shape or reach the peak of it, even if the preparation is going according to plan. Unexpected health problems and failure of training often lie in little things that are often not paid enough attention to. The main one is the microclimate in the house. V.S. Vasilenko, one of the leading specialists in the field of health care, in her studies describes a poor microclimate as one of the root causes of various diseases of athletes, including those leading to the most dire consequences.

It is difficult to monitor the microclimate in the home, which includes air temperature, humidity, pollutants, dust, and carbon dioxide. To monitor all the parameters, as a rule, several devices are needed. Adjusting their operation each time is necessary manually, and being out of the house, it becomes impossible at all.

Modern technology comes to the rescue. The solution to the problem is the Smart House system, which not only constantly monitors all the parameters, but also automatically controls the climate control equipment according to a predetermined scenario. For example, you can set the parameters you need by the time you come home, or make the air more humid and warm for a child who is alone in the apartment.

An interesting feature of this device is that it has a really wide functionality, allowing you to control not only the climate, but also household appliances via IR and Bletooth, which is the difference of progressive Smart Homes. Motion and noise sensors can be security when no one is home, and in your presence they will switch modes of operation according to preset scenarios. And if more recently the design of “smart” devices was rather secondary, but now any device will harmoniously fit in any interior.

The “smart” lighting is also gaining popularity. Recent studies of chronotherapy, or light therapy, have proven their effectiveness for physical and mental recovery, which is no less important for athletes. It’s safe to say that lighting also has an effect on the microclimate. And controlling lighting with Smart Home devices allows you to easily change the color and lighting design to suit any mood and well-being. What is interesting, you can control even the usual switches. Putting “smart” ones directly under them, we get a solution without interfering with the design.

Modern smart home devices today are very versatile. They can take on such a task as leakage control. The classic leakage protection system is more often perceived as a redundancy, although in today’s realities it is more of a necessity. The consequences of leaks are increasingly becoming emergency or even catastrophic, and the automatic shut-off of water allows you to take it easier.

Such a solution in different variations is quite common, but not everyone gives preference to wireless sensors. The taps offered in such kits are also very diverse. The solution to the problem of wireless sensors is the optional use of wired ones (pictured), or informing about the current battery charge of wireless ones; and in the case of taps, preference should be given to more compact, energy-intensive actuators that also have the possibility of manual control.

It should be noted that any system requires control. Modern technologies allow to make a Smart House fully cloud-based system with an adequate level of security and fault-tolerance, while leaving the possibility of local control. The Smart house can be controlled from a mobile application, through voice assistants and the so-called scripts – customizable algorithms of all elements of the system. For example, to include pleasant music, brew coffee and open the curtains in the morning, or shut off the water and de-energize the apartment when you leave. Scenarios can be created and changed by the user, and given that they can include equipment from other manufacturers compatible with the “Smart House”, you can set up a scenario even for the most sophisticated taste.

If earlier such systems were a privilege due to their cost, now the availability of the technology has increased significantly. Everyone can afford the elements of the described system, not the least of which is availability and possibility of expansion – you need not buy everything at once, you can buy more devices as it is necessary and as a result you will get a full-fledged wireless system.

Sophisticated, intelligent technology makes our lives not only easier, but also more individual. Intelligent processes relieve stress, replenish vitality, and free up time to spend with loved ones or to devote to your favorite activity. We tell you how smart home technology is evolving towards the concept of wellness, and the individual with his or her personal desire for wellness is at the center of this process.

In the living room, we gather as a family and enjoy spending time alone with our favorite TV series – it is the place of the best hours after a busy day at work, so everything here should be subject to the idea of comfort. We should start with the basics. First, the air. To make it clean and fragrant, Polish designer Jan Ankerstein developed the concept of hovering glowing balls, which, flying around the room, purify the air. The object was named Aeroball. The shell of the sphere absorbs light during the day and begins to glow with a soft glow as darkness falls. “Fireflies” are filled with helium – that is what allows them to “stay afloat” – and not only filter the air, but also fragrance it: the user can choose whether the room will smell of pine or eucalyptus. The concept won first prize in the Design Lab competition, and we look forward to seeing the flying air purifiers on sale.
