ACMSS Revolutionizing the Future of Wellness in the United StatesFor Immediate Release

Anaheim, CA, December 17, 2015 — The United States is adopting a 21st century healthcare system moving from a disease model to a wellness model. American College of Medical Scribe Specialists (ACMSS) understands the importance of focusing on disease reversal, disease prevention, and wellness benefits. ACMSS is dedicated to improving healthcare across America.

ACMSS is achieving this shift in our healthcare system by offering innovative, customized and flexible solutions to healthcare providers, individuals, academic institutions, and corporations.

ACMSS pioneered and recognized a wellness model exists in our country today using Integrative Health/Integrative Medicine.  Together, we create and innovate electronic medical record (EMR) systems into transformative Electronic Health Records systems, enabling a healthier US for our people.

“Medical Scribes are bringing back the doctor-patient-client relationship by enabling our healthcare providers to spend more quality time with their patients through real-time medical records,” says ACMSS’ President and CEO Kristin Hagen.

This allows physicians to see more patients and give them better service. Hospitals also benefit by having lower employee turnover, higher productivity, fewer errors, and happier healthier patients.

In addition to real-time documentation, medical scribes increase practice efficiencies in several areas, including billing, patient record organization, workflow, insurance, and patient care both inside and outside of the exam room.

A Certified Medical Scribe Specialist (CMSS) can count toward Meaningful Use requirement. Those who don’t use the program will continue to face penalties in 2016. The payment reduction started at 1% in 2015 and will continue to increase each year that an eligible professional does not demonstrate Meaningful Use, to a maximum of 9%,” according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Eligible Professionals include: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, Doctor of Oral Surgery, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, Doctor of Optometry, and Chiropractors.
