Certified Academic Partners (CAPs) are those institutions that meet current academic standards of pre-clinical, clinical training criteria.
Effective June 2016, the Medical Scribe Specialists program became recognized as a formal profession by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), standardizing all to accredited higher-level educational across academic institutions. Certified Academic Partnerships have ceased, and the pathway for current Certified Academic Partners needs to transition by June 2018. All prospective training organizations may contact CAAHEP at this time to initiate the application process, open today.
